Abstract

Designing organizational architecture based on efficiency criteria is viewed as a multidimensional process of structural, analytical, and strategic modeling of an enterprise management system. The study substantiates that modern organizational architecture goes beyond the traditional functional division and incorporates the formation of managerial interaction networks, optimization of information flows, and the development of mechanisms for adaptation to changes in the external environment. It is determined that the key design instruments include matrix approaches, scenario planning, and methods of mathematical optimization.

The matrix organizational model is interpreted as a flexible configuration that integrates vertical functional lines with horizontal project- or product-oriented directions. This approach ensures more efficient allocation and utilization of resources, enhances cross-functional coordination, and creates prerequisites for team synergy. It is demonstrated that the mathematical representation of matrix architecture through incidence matrices and integrated efficiency indicators enables the quantitative assessment of productivity, flexibility, and coordination costs, as well as the identification of critical nodes in managerial interaction.

The scenario approach is considered an instrument of strategic resilience, allowing for the modeling of optimistic, baseline, and pessimistic structural configurations depending on resource availability and risk levels. It is substantiated that the use of weighted coefficients and multicriteria evaluation methods (AHP) ensures objectivity in selecting the architectural configuration and enhances the validity of managerial decisions.

The optimization component of the study includes the application of linear programming, stochastic models, and algorithms aimed at minimizing communication and coordination costs. It is proven that maintaining a balance between centralization and decentralization is a key condition for achieving efficiency without compromising flexibility. A conclusion is formulated regarding the necessity of integrating structural design, scenario forecasting, and mathematical optimization into a unified management system that ensures adaptability, economic feasibility, and long-term organizational performance under conditions of strategic uncertainty.
