The article examines convergent-diffusion engineering as a factor of the qualitative transformation of development projects through the prism of ensuring economic stability, safety and sustainable development of construction participants. It is substantiated that modern development projects operate in conditions of increasing complexity, uncertainty and multi-subjectivity, which necessitates the necessary transition from fragmented management approaches to systemic methodologies focused on integration solutions and the creation of effective practices. Within the framework of the study, convergent-diffusion engineering is important as an interdisciplinary approach that promotes the processes of convergence of interests, resources and decisions of development project participants with the processes of diffusion of innovations, safety standards, quality and management practices in the project environment. It has been established that convergent processes ensure the coordination of economic, technical, organizational and institutional aspects of the activities of construction participants, contributing to the reduction of project risks, increasing the predictability of results and creating conditions for long-term economic sustainability. Diffuse processes, in turn, ensure the scaling and consolidation of developed solutions, contribute to the accumulation of intellectual and organizational capital and reduce the dependence of activity results on situational management factors. Particular attention is paid to the role of convergent-diffusion processes in the formation of a safe environment for construction activities, where safety is considered as an integrated characteristic of the quality of design and management decisions, and not as control of individual elements. It has been proven that the combination of convergence and diffusion creates a synergistic effect, which is manifested in increasing the sustainability of development ecosystems, the formation of long-term partnerships between participants and the transition to sustainably oriented models of development of the construction industry. The results obtained allow us to consider convergent-diffuse engineering as a conceptual basis for ensuring sustainable development of participants in development projects and the formation of a new paradigm of construction management in the context of modern socio-economic transformations.
